For "AIRPLANE" use a small double motion.  You move the hand forward just a couple inches or so, then bring it back, then move it forward again.  Make sure to angle the palm down a bit so you aren't just signing "I LOVE YOU."

Note: The sign "AIRPLANE" when used in context can be interpreted as "AIRFORCE."
