American Sign Language: "no-[wave]" or "wave no" This sign can be used to say "NO" in a very nice way (or a not-nice way...depends on the severity of which you shake your head, and how much negativity you show via your face). This sign is a good way to say "nuh uh" or "nah." It can be used to mean "that's not what I intended," "I'm not into that," or "no, not for me, thanks." To do this sign, you wave the open five hand side to side while shaking your head. NO-[wave] You can modify this sign to use two hands which would then mean something along the lines of: "Whoa!" or "Oh geeze, no!" "For goodness sake, not that!" Both hands, (palms forward, fingers spread) wave side to side.
