Review:

Signing notes:
"Battery" and "electric" can both use the same sign.
People ask me, "Why did you include the sign for "ambulance" in a Level-1 curriculum?"  Response: It isn't about the sign for "ambulance," it is about the sign for "light" and the various ways we can change the basic sign "light" to mean such things as "microwave," "overhead lighting" "emergency vehicle warning lights" and similar concepts. Once you get a feel for the basic concept of "lighting" it is easy to understand sentences like, "SOMEONE CAR "headlights on!"

Curriculum revision notes and lesson archive:
In a never ending effort to improve, this website is under constant construction

Below are sentences and or signs which are being phased out of this lesson as well as other material that may be phased into the lesson.

* TOOTHPASTE
* SAY
* GARAGE HAVE? CL:3-(vehicle, "park")++ HOW-MANY CAN?  (Do you have a garage? --if so-- How many cars will it fit?) will be phased out of this level of the curriculum. This is how it was signed: Show the sign "GARAGE" and sign "HAVE" while raising your eyebrows.  Then if the person you are signing to nods "yes," then you use the Classifier-3 handshape to show several cars parked side by side in a garage, and then ask "HOW-MANY CAN? - using slightly furrowed eyebrows.

* YOUR REFRIGERATOR CL:BB-"side-by-side-double-doors?" (Is your refrigerator the kind that has the freezer on the side?)

* KNOW TOOTHPASTE BRUSH-TEETH, WHAT-KIND TOOTHPASTE YOU?
What kind of toothpaste do you use?

* YOUR BATHROOM HAVE T-U-B AND SHOWER? (Does your bathroom have both a tub and a shower?)

* TUB, SHOWER TOGETHER, SEPARATE, WHICH? (Are your bathtub and your shower combined or are they separate?)
